KatharineSchellman.com - lazy weekend, cup of coffee

This week has been one of being incredibly productive while simultaneously feeling like I’m not getting anything done, a common sensation when most of your current workload can be described as “ongoing.”

Hurrah, I sent out pitches for three essays this week and wrote a short story! my brain says.

Great, but you won’t hear back about those essays for weeks, you still need to find somewhere to submit that story, and what about those edits on your novel your CP is waiting for? my brain replies.

My brain can be kind of a jerk.

Obviously, then, I need to distract myself with all the interesting things the internet has to offer.

(And also, probably, get back to those edits.)

this is oddly soothing

the (political) power of a good walk

in search of quiet in the modern world

love this: learning from starlight

unashamed to admit that I’m a grammar snob

empathy, Asperger’s, and Modern Love

beware: US library to enforce jail sentences for overdue books

more problems with fast fashion brands

did you see the movie? (it was awesome)

For when I need a break this weekend:

poetry for today

fiction for tomorrow… err, next year (I know her!)
